"Stayed for a birthday weekend at this beautiful hotel, from the minute we walked through the door we where greeted with a smile and a warm welcome from Lesley on reception, she took us through everything and showed us to our from all with a constant smile, we had a cosy double with a hot tub and the room was stunning not small at all, we went for a walk into the centre which was lovely and prob took 7 mins, breakfast at the hotel was a standard help yourself buffet but again had everything you needed, staff at breakfast where friendly and welcoming. We used the spa which was lovely and we also ate lunch in the pub which was nice as well, again all staff we spoke to in the pub/spa where welcoming and very friendly, we went into the cocktail bar for drinks and where helped by Taylor and Findlay who where fab so chatty and helpful, we checked out the next morning after another lovely breakfast and organised a taxi to go back up station which unfortunately didn’t show, I was stressing a little but Alicia and Monika on reception sorted it by organising for Carl to drive us to the station, nothing is a problem for the staff at this hotel. The hotel is beautiful and I would return in a heartbeat, the stand out at this hotel for me is the staff, only once before have I been on a trip where every single staff member I encountered genuinely wanted to help you and make sure you where having the best time the staff working at this hotel really are amazing. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟"

"It was the most beautiful place to stay. Old worldly charm, delicious cooked breakfast and a little plate with cakes when we got back from a day out. There was a cozy open fire to sit and read by and our hostess was friendly and helpful. Would love to return one day."

"Last night of a business trip, but have stayed previously. Super location, first class breakfast & very cosy room. Couldn’t access room to after 3pm but this wasn’t a problem. There is no parking at this hotel as it is literally on the town square. Lots of public paid parking close by or you may be fortunate to find free street parking. "
