Antigonish Evergreen Inn

"This is a very nice motel. There are healthy plants inside and outside rooms. Their breakfast selection is limited compared to other places we stayed but there is a great selection of toppings for oatmeal and the owner cook great eggs, poached or boiled, which I don’t see at any other places. However I think it’s rather expensive for what we got. When we arrived around 6:30pm, no one was in the office but I was able to get my room key from the counter. After I unpacked and returned to the office to get some drinking water around 7:30pm, the office was locked. It’s the most expensive night for our 16 day trip to the maritimes, with many other hotels that have better services but cost much less. It may justify its price for its location, but I may consider skipping this location if I travel to Cape Breton region again."

"Located in shopping center so close to amenities. But not particularly beautiful grounds. Breakfast was amazing. Staff friendly."

"Small independant Inn. Rooms are small but comfortable, but it is a climb to reach them so if you have mobility issues, this could be problematic. There are no ammentites in the room, each floor has a communal bar fridge and coffee maker, and there are no TV's in the rooms (not an issue for us but might be for others). Its a great central location in Pictou, short walk to local shops and restaurans and our room had a nice view of the water which was about a block away. Lots of parking, great outdoor patio where you can join other guests and owners for a chat and a glass of wine just after check in Inn which is at 4 pm."
