What a fantastic hotel. I have walked past this hotel on holidays to Cornwall most of my life but this was the first time I actually stayed in a hotel in the local area. I am pleased I picked the Carlyon Bay Hotel. Not only does the hotel seem to beam old world charm, it is the epitome of a classy environment with staff that will do anything to make your stay more comfortable and are a pleasure to deal with. The local area is quiet but you are not coming to this hotel to party but relax...

Was a perfect location to make frequent train connections and tour the area. Lovely room and welcoming hosts.

Everything was absolutely perfect! Village location that’s not too difficult to get to via car. Private car park directly across the street from the hotel. Bus stop right down the road in Crumplehorn. Full breakfast included in the rate. Spotless, comfy rooms with daily housekeeping. Teas and coffees, etc. in the room and refreshed daily with housekeeping. Highly recommend this hotel!

Lovely place with a great restaurant, EV parking, etc. Very glad we stayed here.

The cobblestone parking was slightly challenging, and we weren’t expecting to be in a separate building from the inn, but the room was very comfortable and the large window had a great view which brightened up the space. The location was perfect, and the staff was pleasant and helpful. We appreciated that breakfast was included.

What a quaint, little village in a beautiful locale. This newly renovated hotel is in the heart of Lostwithiel, just 1 mile from Restormel Castle. The rooms are beautiful and have modern amenities. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I always have a couple simple requests on my reservations and no one ever complies so I was startled when the woman at the front desk mentioned that they had provided my request. This little gem was the best part of our two week adventure through Cornwall. The room was wonderful, the staff was amazing, the food was fantastic and the locals were friendly and welcoming. I would stay here time and time again!

Amazing hotel, quality of the room was exceptional, we ate in the Chapel restaurant and found the food to be lovely. Would definitely recommend this gem of a hotel. Sadly we saw no ghosts.

Little boutique hotel slap bang on the slipway of the tiny bay with gorgeous view from the bar/restaurant. Attentive staff, excellent food both for breakfast and dinner.
