"We had a great stay in the hotel (2 adults, 2 kids, 2 nights). Our room was bright and clean, and surprisingly spacious. Upon arrival, we noted that we were expecting an extra bed in our room; one was promptly sent up and made up. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel is 3-stars for a reason: it hasn't been refurbished in a long time, so if you're looking for examples of cutting edge design, you might try somewhere else (probably outside of Eastbourne?). But The Lansdowne is very well looked after by the staff, and this gives the hotel a lovely nostalgic feel. Whenever we're headed to Eastbourne again we'll try to stay there first."

"Good value for money for a 1 night stay and waking up in the morning with an incredible sea view. The bed is super comfy and the room with a bay window is spacious. The hotel is old but the staff are very friendly and always keen to help. Parking right outside the buildingis free between 6pm and 8am - ideal for a business overnight. It is a beautiful town for an afternoon stroll. "

"Honestly really really great place to stay! Very good value for money, such a friendly and kind host to welcome us and even helped carry bags to our room. Ensured we had everything we needed for a fab monday-friday stay. In our room there was tea and coffee facilities, a small table and chairs, a double bed and a single bed and our own toilet and shower room which had little bottles of shampoo and shower gel which was a nice touch. Room was clean and cosy, lovely big windows, a couple of updates/repairs needed in room but nothing that impacted stay. Location is amazing! As someone who really struggles to walk and relies on a walking aid I found this brilliant. Literally a minute from the pier, can see it from the front of the hotel. A little Tesco and other shops very close by. Right on the seafront l, brilliant. Cannot rate this place enough for the price :) thank you "

"This hotel has been renovated and the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Lova on the front desk was very helpful and pleasant. The dining room wasn’t open as that part of the hotel is still being renovated but will be ready soon. The rates were very favorable and I would not hesitate to stay there again."

"Amazing gem of a hotel and the most lovely staff. We needed a pair of connecting rooms, and one room for my elderly uncle and aunt with an easy access shower. Both requests were readily met with no fuss, which we really appreciate. I would not hesitate in booking another stay here!"

"The staff at the Chatsworth were so friendly, and accomodating. It made our short stay even nicer, to recieve good customer service. The location of the hotel is great, as everything you need is within walking distance. The breakfast is very tasty. There was nothing we could fault with this hotel."
