"The place was clean, beautiful, and centrally located to shops, restaurants and bars. It was tucked away and quiet right on the lake. Would highly recommend!"

"This is the second year we have stayed at this home for our winter holiday. We have enjoyed our visits and found the home to have everything we need. We were pleased to find the fireplace in working order, even though we received a note that it was not working. That and the large kitchen are the natural gathering spots for our family. Watching the ice fishing on the lake is an added bonus. Thank you for sharing this lovely property. We'll be back!"

"This property is more than just a house, it is a home and it makes you feel right at home. The owner is very easy to work with and very accommodating. "Shimmering Cove was the perfect location for me and my friends to stay at for the weekend. There was plenty of space, activities, and supplies available. The hot tub was amazing and the views were wonderful. We made use of the kayaks, and there was also plenty to do when the weather was rainy. Check in and check out process was seamless. I would highly recommend this property!"

"The views! Incredible! Wow! The eight Sugarbelles loved this beautiful home on Casco Bay. It’s well built, spacious and was stocked with anything & everything needed for our weekend. We each had our own bed, all which were extremely comfortable. Lots of clean, soft bath towels, however, very few face cloths. No biggie! Most bedrooms did not have a mirror and that’s a must have for eight women! But even with those minor things, we truly loved the place. We were puzzled by the “tip envelope” in...

"Our family and our dog had a great kick off to summer here at Joan's place on Crystal Lake. Our kids loved the kayaks and canoes, taking a run around the lake, and s'mores by the fire. Our family loved grilling on the large deck overlooking the lake. The neighbors were kind and Joan was a great host, even saving the day when our dog made a surprise early morning escape from his harness. Great experience!"

"Our stay was a little short, but overall we enjoyed our stay. We where visited by wild turkeys 🦃 and large black ants 🐜 in the kitchen area. Early summer pest. We will love to revisit the location in the fall. And their lake location"

"Lovely home with beautiful lake views! We enjoyed spending time with friends here. The house was well equipped with all we needed and the rooms were all very comfortable! The yard was also very nice with outdoor seating areas and steps down to the water. A wonderful tranquil retreat!"

"Everything about the property was as advertised or better. Valarie was an exceptional communicator always responding to messages immediately. Everything about the house is high quality. I had some concerns about having to cross a street to get to the private beach but those concerns turned out to be unfounded. Very little traffic. We would definitely go back."

"This is an ideal location for a fun getaway for any season. Plenty of room for a large/extended family. While there is a road between the house and lake it didn’t detract from the experience at all. Pro tip, in cooler seasons turn on the ceiling fans to push the warmer air down. Otherwise the main room will feel cold. The dock is slightly off level and a couple doors don’t latch completely but those are just signs of a well loved camp."

"The property has a lot of potential. There is no sandy beach access on the property , just the long dock area. Not sure if another party left right before we arrived, beds were made and it was tidied , but could have used a better overall cleaning. (Floors , countertops, mopping etc.) Definitely a campground feel. Overall beautiful views and had a wonderful stay ."

"Perfect location! Close to Freeport shopping area, breweries, and state park for hiking! The property is beautiful and the house is so comfortable and spacious. Would definitely come back if there’s a chance! Thank you so much for an excellent experience!"
