We were pleased to find the fireplace in working order, even though we received a note that it was not working. That and the large kitchen are the natural gathering spots for our family. "The views! Incredible! Wow! The eight Sugarbelles loved this beautiful home on Casco Bay. It’s well built, spacious and was stocked with anything & everything needed for our weekend. We each had our own bed, all which were extremely comfortable. Lots of clean, soft bath towels, however, very few face cloths. No biggie! My preschooler keeps asking us about when we can return to “our Maine house”. I think it left a favorable impression on him. We would happily stay here again in the future."

"Our family and our dog had a great kick off to summer here at Joan's place on Crystal Lake. Our kids loved the kayaks and canoes, taking a run around the lake, and s'mores by the fire. Our family loved grilling on the large deck overlooking the lake. The neighbors were kind and Joan was a great host, even saving the day when our dog made a surprise early morning escape from his harness. Great experience!"

"Loved the location. We happened to be there just after the shooter incident and found Brunswick ‘shut down’. We still made the most of our getaway having brought large amounts of our own food to enjoy. The property owners emailed and texted me offering us the opportunity to cancel given the situation and had great communication throughout. "This is an ideal location for a fun getaway for any season. Plenty of room for a large/extended family. While there is a road between the house and lake it didn’t detract from the experience at all. Pro tip, in cooler seasons turn on the ceiling fans to push the warmer air down. Otherwise the main room will feel cold. The dock is slightly off level and a couple doors don’t latch completely but those are just signs of a well loved camp."

"My boyfriend and I booked this trip and he actually proposed during our trip! We loved coming back to the cozy studio cottage. The view from bed is beautiful , the stars at night were breath taking! Easy to check in, place was clean the one minor thing was the couch bed is not the best for the back but is cozy and soft. We will be back !"
