"Quaint out of the way getaway"

"Not getting 5 stars because the linens weren’t clean when we got there. The linen company failed to replace the box of towels and bed sheets, so we were up until 3am on the first night cleaning the bedding. The host was very responsive and brought us new bedding the next day. This wasn’t entirely the hosts fault, but it certainly was the lowest category of the stay."

"Started a little off when we could not get in the oust. Rufus’s was quick to remedy and had a good stay. Close to ocean, close to restaurants. I would come back."

"My best friend and I wanted to have a short getaway trip before she had her first baby and this spot was almost perfectly between the two of us. The property was very nice and perfectly within walking distance of the beach, we didn’t even need to cross the street! There were also a lot of restaurants and activities all within ten miles. Upstairs in the cottage there were even games to play. It was perfect for our little adventure and just the vacation that we all needed. I would definitely come...

"We loved our stay at this cozy beach cabin. The location was excellent with a short walk to the beach, shops, and ice cream. The neighborhood was quiet and great for walking (we took out dog). The host was very responsive and the place was easy to get into and very clean upon arrival. We hope to visit again one day!"

"Lovely vintage cottage with little touches that make you enjoy the stay. Like a dark washcloth that says Makeup!, paper cups in bathroom and coffee pods, sugar and creamers. Everything you need. One suggestion, driveway is on a curve and easy to miss! May want to slow way down at you pass 830 mailbox as 838 is coming soon!"

"My wife and I enjoyed a quiet stay at the pink cottage to celebrate our 43rd wedding anniversary. We live at Smith Mountain Lake , however my wife was born and raised in Virginia Beach and loves the ocean. She was particularly happy to hear the waves breaking and feel the cool ocean breeze."
