"The staff was so friendly, and it was an exquisitely beautiful setting. If you have mobility issues, this is not your place - the stairs are steep, and getting to the loft is with a straight up ladder - but if you can deal with the stairs you'll be fine, and it would be an amazing place for a family with kids. The road down to the river is well-maintained, and I enjoyed the relaxed hooting of the howler monkeys on my walk."

"A wonderful hotel. Basic and clean room. Lots of hot water in shower. Fabulous breakfast buffet by the pool, watching the birds. Friendly helpful staff. Beautiful setting with many types of flowers and birds. Different places to sit and relax. Great location, close to the centre of town, which is great for travellers without cars Excellent value for the money!"

"Family that runs it is fantastic! Rooms are clean and comfortable with a view worth it alone! Quiet and the landscaping is beautiful! The restaurant is a must, I run a beef ranch and the ribeye was definitely one of the top 3 I’ve ever eaten! Will recommend and will be staying here again!"

Not only because of the great location in the rainforest, all the sloths on the property, and great facilities, but mostly because the hosts Giovanni and Luis run the best lodge in the country. They will go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable and treat you like family! They also cook the best food I’ve ever had in Costa Rica. 11/10!"

"Our room was clean, beds were comfortably firm. The bathroom could have used a light fixture closer to the sink/mirror, as half your face was in shadow when shaving. The exterior light above the door did not work, making the entry a bit dark. The food was exceptional at the restaurant. We ate dinner there twice, and were very happy with our meals (tomahawk steak, hamburger, and chicken cordon bleu). The piña colada was delicious. "Beautiful hotel in the rainforest! The grounds were immaculate and stunning, the rooms spacious and very clean. Hotel staff is wonderful, shout out to German at the pool bar! The food was excellent including the free breakfast buffet. Uber is super accessible and its a quick ride to downtown La Fortuna."

"We stayed in a villa and it was excellent. Plenty of space, clean, comfortable bed. The grounds were like paradise. We enjoyed reading and listening to the birds in the hammock area and enjoyed a little swim in the pool. North fields coffee tour is right beside the hotel which was convenient! We had a car which was helpful to get into town. We walked from town once which took maybe 40 minutes. We would stay here again!"

"Excellent hôtel en pleine nature. Il faut prendre une pirogue depuis le parking pour accéder au lodge. Certaines chambres sont à 20 mètres de haut dans les arbres. D’autres au bord d’un plan d’eau d’un bon confort (clim’, ventilo, réfrigérateur ET congélateur, terrasse). Mais le top est la nature environnante où on peut croiser pleins d’animaux sauvages ! Bref, un excellent hôtel à découvrir où plein d’activités (payantes et assez chères) sont proposées. Je recommande vivement. Un point...

"The address is confusing since it is to the next door property but we eventually found the place it. It is nice please, 10 to 45 minutes drive to any thing you need, easy parking. Nice and friendly staff. Breakfast was good enough. "

"The place is a vegan’s paradise. The food made by Naama and her staff in the kitchen is incredible. The nature trails around are beautiful. You can help by taking some of the hundreds of rescue dogs for walks. All the staff is extremely friendly and hospitable!"
