"We greatly enjoyed our time in Amboise and staying at the Chateau de Pray. The staff is excellent, very friendly and helpful. Laura is a treasure! The property is everything you imagine it will be taking you back to the time of kings and queens. But yet, modernized enough for the comfort that we all want in today's times. The grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed a hike through the forest and the view of the Loire river is perfect. The Michelin star restaurant set in the limestone cave is wonderful as well. We traveled with our 9 year old son and we all had the best time ever. Will stay here again on our next trip to the valley."

"Apart from a few cobwebs (which can appear in moments), the accommodation was clean and tidy, the beds were comfortable and the general feel of the place was appealing; it was very quiet at night, alarm clock was not needed thanks to the very regular dawn chorus of the local cockerels and chickens! The view was problematic but this was not the fault of the owner but of the neighbour, however the goats and horse somewhat made up for it! We did find the accommodation kind of basic in certain areas. In the kitchen, there were really no cooking implements such as stirrers or spatulas; the non-stick surface on both frying pans was disintegrating; there was also only one large chopping knife a bread knife and two very small very blunt knives. There were no oven mitts. Given the weather was very warm, the quilts provided were far too heavy. Though there were many light fittings, the level of light they produced was very poor, making reading in the evenings a real challenge. The wonderful weather saw us spending much of our time out sightseeing, had we been confined to the accommodation for any length of time due to inclement weather, the poor lighting would have become much more problematic. However, we did enjoy our stay here."

"My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Le Clos Fleuri. The house was extremely clean and well stocked. Lovely kitchen if one chose to cook. Veronica left a lovely hand written welcome note. There was a also wine and tomatoes from their garden! Steven was extremely helpful. Always responded to my questions, perhaps too many, very quickly. Great location, about 5 minute drive to the center of Amboise. We will definitely stay there again when in France."

"Marion welcomed us on our arrival, standing in the road because we were a little lost. On our phones she guided us in. She then gave us a tour of the house explaining everything and answering our questions. The house is charming, modernized, clean and had everything we needed. Outside the courtyard is lovely. Unfortunately we didn't really use it because of the heatwave. Speaking of which, she provided us with fans which helped a lot. This was a perfect home base for our exploration of the chateaux of the Loire. We'd definitely suggest this property to friends and family coming that way. Thank you, Marion"
