"I stayed at Pensione Popolo for multiple weeks on a work trip and Tammy the manager was super accommodating, available for questions and making sure the stay is going smoothly and comfortably. Amazing location right in the iconic Mile End, close to metros, bus lines and walking distance to different neighbourhoods, parks and food. Crisp A/C, fast wifi and multiple shared showers/bathrooms. Even with the communal aspect there is a lot of privacy and all of the other guests I met seemed happy and polite! The negative reviews are confusing to me as if you read the booking it clearly states what amenities are present in the space. Yes you are on one of the main arteries of Montreal - sounds of city come with it! There is a shared fridge and kettle. Even with my long term stay I made it work just fine. Truly an affordable, well located place to stay after exploring Montreal all day! I would definitely book in here again."
