"Definitely a very laid back resort. The staff was super friendly and professional. Restaurant food was not always 5 star quality. But everything else about the resort was definitely 5 star!! Maybe have some type of musical entertainment or a fun vibe of music playing. "

"The room was large and spotless. Refrigerator worked well. Staff helped me to book a scuba trip and checked on me regularly to see if I needed anything. The bed was really comfortable. It took me a minute to figure out that the hot water in the shower was really hot and you had to use the cold water to give it pressure, but is was heaven after a long scuba day. I spent a lot of time in the hammock on the porch. Perfect location in the middle of the walking area of Placencia. "

"Ummmm…. Where to begin. The property has a view like no other. However….its clean but not clean, it’s great but not great lol. The treehouse has great potential, definitely needs A/C we had a pretty rough sleep unless you’re use to the heat. Being from Canada we almost melted. It’s tidy and livable but definitely not clean. The bedding and towels were clean. But the toilet, fridge, sink, dishes and drying rack all needed a good wipe down. I was happy we had travel Lysol wipes to say the least. Wifi/service was very hit and miss. The beach and surrounding the property was dirty with debris, garbage and junk. So as long as you focus on the ocean you’re good lol. Would definitely stay again just because of the view but would prepare for the conditions of the place. Priced high for what you get. Also the grey water from the sink drains bucks out of a pipe sticking out of the side of the house. Do not mistake for an outside shower lol. Also I believe the host enjoys a few or 30 adult beverages prior to arrival and may or may not wipe out on a bicycle lol very nice lady though. All other staff was excellent. "

"The room was ok. I had to remind them to clean the room on the days it was supposed to be cleaned. For the cost, there were better options with more amenities at the same or lesser cost. The a/c leaked on our head one night, and when I went to the front desk, nothing was done. The rain one night came into the room through the glass door. Again reported it and nothing was done."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ohana Wata. It felt much larger than it's modest size. The bathroom is large and well appointed. The kitchen had everything we could have wanted and more, including an ice machine. The bedroom was comfortable and looked out onto a deck that overlooked a secluded beach area. We had our choice of private beach chairs, picnic table, chaise lounge, or hammock. The property is at the far northern end of the pedestrian pathway that runs down to the Placencia Pier. It's close to shops, restaurants, coffee places, ice cream stores and tour operators. We definitely look forward to our next opportunity to visit!"

"Sargassum seaweed lines the beaches throughout the Carribean and this beach is no exception. Also, sand flies and mosquitoes were prevalent in this area, requiring nets over the bed to sleep at night. The property was nice, but very expensive. "
