"Great location in heart of the medina. Rooms not very sound proof but we were on top floor which I think helped. Breakfast was good, lots of options."

"We really enjoyed our stay here. I only have two regrets. One that I didn’t book sooner for when we returned to Marrakech, because it was sold out. Second the weather wasn’t as warm as I hoped, when we stayed, I really wanted to go in the rooftop pool. Neither of those are the hotels fault so I give it 5 stars. The rooftop pool & bar was a great place to hang out after walking through the medina all day. The breakfast as well as dinner was very good. The rooms are nice and spacious and they upgraded us so we had a nice balcony as well. The staff was very nice and the fact that the hotel is outside the medina, but still walkable, was a bonus. I would recommend this place to any of my friends coming here and I will definitely book this hotel next time, before I even book my flight."

"Good location. But the service of the front desk state is very bad and rude. The breakfast part of the food is in the garden, full of flies."

"I travel all year for work and this is the worst hotel i have ever been too. Staff are rude and dont care! Rooms are dated and everything in room was broken including tv, balcony, door iron and safe. Told management but didnt really care Spoke to General Manager Muhammed and he was worse than his staff. Told me he would give me a discount when i go back to hotel as if i ever would. He was rude an arrogant. The changed our room 3 times in 3 days which took hours to do but he couldn't see a problem with that. Rudest General manager iv ever encountered. Pool area is nice with DJ playing but staff just dont care. Im in Marrakech every year and its amazing. Arab culture is so welcoming but this hotel is the opposite. Even every taxi we got in agreed that all they ever heard was problems with this hotel. No wander it has changed names 4 times in past 20 years. Btw is fully under construction but in there true sneaky way they dont tell you. Reception was full of people complaining and all you could hear around the pool area was people with issues with hotel. This was not unique to me. Reviews must be manufactured or fabricated. U must visit Marrakech it is amazing but if you stay at this hotel your trip will be ruined."

"We just came from 2 other true 5 star hotels, so this one was a noticeable step down and not one I would rate as 5 star. Was actually fine for the price but not 5 star. Rooms were a bit rough with mold in shower and banged up walls, but otherwise fine. Great location near new city which was very interesting to see after staying in Medina."

"My room was freezing cold. Unfortunately the radiator from 1920 didn’t work. The engineer made 4 trips with different tools at 11:00 at night but still couldn’t get it to work. I slept in my clothes. The shower was lovely but seriously flooded the bathroom with 3 inches of water. My chicken dinner at the Asian restaurant was undercooked which is a recipe for serious illness and rice was $15 extra. Not great value for your money. .the security was oppressive until I understood why and then it was much appreciated. The comped my drink but still "

"The stay at Sofitel Marrakech Palais was excellent- amazing service and rooms. Our stay was unfortunately very short and barely an evening spent. But the beds were very comfortable and shower stalls and toilet all appeared modern and newly renovated."
