"Planned a short getaway to hike Mount Mitchell and this place could not have been more perfectly located to the trailhead. The Lodge is newly built, and ground are impeccably well maintained. The staff was super helpful. They even came by to drop off a lighter so the firepit could be put to use. They have a common use area with a ktichen and grills that can be utilized which is an added bonus as I don’t recall reading about all they had available to make the stay above and beyond expectations....

Host was so thoughtful in caring for the grounds, lighting for the evenings, pretty plants and outdoor seating made for a lovely, peaceful outside meal or relaxing in rockers to watch the sunset over the mountains. We were so grateful for the coffee and tea! We were very pleased and Highly recommend!"

"Wonderful property for a week away with my family. The house was very clean and had all amenities needed. We cooked several meals in the amazing kitchen . Plenty of room to spread out and explore. Very remote feeling but close enough to civilization. We took several hikes from the house and set up a telescope for stargazing. The drive to the property is up a gravel drive. Was able to make it in a non AWD vehicle in the summer. Just a heads up for winter travel as I probably could not have made it in snow/ice. Water pressure was low but upon inquiring maintenance was out promptly to fix. Amazing house in the mountains that my family would love to return to again!!!"
