"An elegant old house tastefully redeveloped, with large, comfortable and stylish rooms. Great location close to breweries, wineries and hiking and not far from Charlottesville. So, mostly good but the administrative and customer-service side could be better. We weren't sent the code for the front door and another couple we met weren't sent the code for their room. I received the checkout instructions after having already left the property. "

"The hardest thing was finding the property. It’s sandwiched between two gas stations and it’s a lane up to a steep hill where the hotel is. There’s a nice view at the top of the mountains."

"The cabin has great spaces - main living room, sitting area loft, and screened porch. It was very well outfitted, and the kitchen has everything you would need to cook a full meal. Lorraine goes the extra mile to make it welcoming and convenient for her guests. The fresh eggs and brownies were very much appreciated! The cabin is very convenient to all of the area attractions, but because of its location on a lovely country road, there is no traffic noise. "

"The Modern Mountain Condo was a great place to gather with friends, play games, watch movies and just relax. There was plenty of room and everything needed for a fun girls' night out."

"This was singlehandedly one of the nicest vacation homes we have ever stayed as a family! The amount of detail, thought and care Maria put into this home was evident from the moment we pulled up to the house. From the little handwritten note they left us along with fresh eggs and bottle of wine, we immediately felt welcomed in the home. Every little thing we needed was taken care of, to include kids plates/cups, charcoal, toiletries, and even charcuterie boards! The outdoor space was probably our favorite. Even though the house was wonderful, we spent 90% of our time by the river teaching our kids how to fish, playing soccer, hanging out by the fire, or just taking in nature. I felt completely at peace in this home and we are so grateful for being able to enjoy this little oasis. Thank you for having us and we hope to be back soon! "

"Cabin was great! The host was very responsive and helpful, and the instructions were excellent. They even recommended stopping for groceries on the way in since there isn’t anywhere nearby to get them, which was really helpful to know ahead of time.The campfire area was fantastic, and having firewood available was a great perk that many places don’t offer. Being right on the creek was incredibly relaxing.I brought a hammock and there was a perfect spot between the trees where I ended up spending most of my time.The cabin had all the kitchen and fire utensils we needed. My only small “wish” would be hotter water, but I like a pretty scalding shower so that’s more of a personal preference!10/10 — would definitely stay again."

"What a perfect little spot! Private but close to everything. Gorgeous cabin and such creative use of space! Absolutely loved it. We didn’t have kids with us but 100% recommend for kiddos, there is an entire area dedicated to kid space. Just a perfect spot! "
