"A very pleasant stay in a beautiful area. A good location for walks in the south of the peak district, particularly up to Hen's Cloud and the Roaches, Gradbach Mill and Lud's Church, and a little further away Miller's Dale & Chee Dale gorge. Nice to have a welcoming couple of slices of homemade cake and a jug of fresh milk on arrival. The accommodation was comfortable and had everything we needed. The mobile service (EE) is not the best from within the cottage through the solid stone walls...

"Very well renovated, cosy cottage with lots of nice original features. Some interesting walks from the village but other than that not much there to do. But short drives (about 30 mins) to many lovely places to visit. Great communication from owner. Upstairs bedrooms very luxurious but downstairs bedroom a bit cramped. Really lovely welcome basket. "

"Lovely stay. The cottage was clean, well equipped and comfortable. Vicky was always on hand when needed and communication was great - super quick! Loved coming outside to the chickens and seeing the horses when we arrived. We had a really nice stay and would definitely recommend/return!"

"I you want to be out and about every day in beautiful scenery and then have an awesome base to relax then look no further. Stunning views out of every window and 2 large secure paddocks that you can let your 4 legged friend enjoy with no fear of them getting out. The hardest thing is convincing the dog to come inside and join you in the evening."

"Lovely spacious clean cottage, very well equipped. Owners were attentive nice people. Summer or winter very comfortable place to be. Good position for visiting lot's of places. Lovely patio to sit in looking out towards the cattle in the fields, watching sunset or rise! We would definitely stay again. Thank you."

"We had a wonderful stay in this property. It was fantastically well equipped with robes, towels and everything we needed for cooking. The hot tub was brilliant... kept the heat so well. Our hosts topped up our firewood without being asked and were communicative without being intrusive. Location was lovely too perfect for the trips we had planned. Parking was tricky until we got used to it so be prepared for that when you arrive, and bring some slippers/flip flops as they were the only thing not...
