"We chose this house because of the location. It is quite remote, in a very small hamlet about 10km up narrow roads. Villaviciosa is a lovely small town and worth a walk around. The hamlet of Piedrafita is exactly that, a hamlet. We were hugely disappointed that the local bar/eatery had suffered a fire and was out of action for the foreseeable. "Zeer stijlvol ingericht huis. Ruim, schoon en alles wat aanwezig voor een fijne vakantie. Fijne houtkachel met voldoende hout die het hele huis verwarmd en veel sfeer brengt. Simple, but beautiful, rural retreat, made a great base for exploring the foothills of Picos de Europa and further into the national park, but also close enough to enjoy the coast too. Very attentive host who made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our holiday. "Our stay was organised for the benefit to compete in the Sella descent kayak race. The accommodation is located in an ideal position, not too far away from the start of the race in Arriondas. Communication with Linda was excellent, and we will definitely be looking to stay again next year if we compete again the kayak race. "We had a great stay for 14 days, me, my wife and our 9 year old son. The house is close to some of the most beautiful beaches. All in walking distance. Communication with the rental agency was perfect. "Great property; helpful and friendly owners; superb base for exploring the local area. The nearest town, Infiesto, is a 5-minute drive away with local well-stocked supermarket. We cooked most evenings using the wood barbecue in the private garden. There are good walks from the house and Oviedo, Gijon, Covadonga, etc. are within a 45 minute drive. We were a family group of 4 adults and 2 children and there was plenty of room for everyone. All-in-all, a fantastic place to spend a holiday!"
