"So this may be a bit long. First, the resort was spotless. I’ve never been in a cleaner one. There were lots of options for food but Bella was our hands down fav! It had many more menu selections than the other restaurants did. The steakhouse really needs to add fries to their menu as a side for their really good steaks and cheeseburgers. The sushi place was awesome too! And loads of options for the buffet - breakfasts were amazing. But what really impressed us here was the staff. I’ve never stayed anywhere where the staff catered to you like they did here. They were incredibly friendly and helpful with an outstanding work ethic! Their customer service skills are truly above reproach! "

"The property was okay. The toilet leaked and I was told by the reception staff that all tissue and toilet paper had to be disposed of in the garbage - no paper of any kind could be flushed. Wasn't expecting that. There wasn't much provided in the way of amenities - shampoo but no conditioner, no hand soap, body wash, dish soap, etc., and had to use some of the towels to prevent the leaked water from the toilet from getting too far into the hall. Having said all that, the staff were pleasant enough, the room and the property itself was clean, and not noisy, and I felt like I was really in the heart of the city, with wonderful shops, spas, restaurants, etc., all within walking distance. A very walkable area, for sure - I didn't take a single bus or cab anywhere, which was awesome."

"If the beach is your thing, this isn't the place for you. It is very narrow and rocky and attracts a higher than average amount of seaweed which has a strong odor. The cabanas, which must be rented by the day, take of the edge of 80% of the pool side space."

"The property is ideal if you want city and beach life. The rooftop pool was great with views you cannot get from ground pools! We were upgraded to a Master Suite which was spacious and clean. We had an issue with the AC in the last couple days but were told it was because you could not set the thermostat lower than a specific degree which was not the case or problem. We had friends in another room that had to use extra blankets because it was so cold. However, we did not press the issue too hard with the staff so more on us than them. Bar staff and servers in all locations were attentive and personable. Food selection was great - smaller facility means more taste and quality when not mass produced. We also chose the Elite option and visited the other 2 sister resorts a few times. Playacar had a great beach and Coco Beach was smaller but also very nice. The shuttle service was a bit confusing (need to be on a list?) and can get full so make sure you check before going. All in all a wonderful stay and we will be back!"

"Overall experience was good but not great. Property is clean and well maintained, but a solid hour from the airport. Room was clean and well maintained but could use a facelift. Staff was nice, but not the best I’ve experienced. Food in restaurants was good for an all inclusive, not the best ever, but definitely better than most I’ve been to. Pool was good, but beach was pretty small. Unfortunately, the seaweed was the worst Ive ever seen in my life, to the point where even their cleanup efforts couldn’t make a dent. You could smell it all the way from the front of the resort. It made the experience not very enjoyable because beach was unusable, couldn’t get in the water, which made the pool areas quite overcrowded. All in all, it was a great resort, very nice views, good for the price, but probably won’t return. "

"Staff are very helpful and friendly. Hotel is right on the beach. Hotel is far enough away from the night life so not much noise. This is not an all inclusive, you can order breakfast for $10 us cold meal or $15 us per person for a hot meal. The restaurant next door is very accommodating, you can order and they will bring it right to your room or beach , we used them several times, great food!"

"Amazing place to stay in Playa del Carmen. The property has a beautiful tropical concept that makes you feel surrounded by nature, with palm trees and lush vegetation all around. Our one-bedroom apartment was very clean, comfortable, and well equipped, with a lovely terrace and hammocks that made the experience even more relaxing. The location is excellent! Only one block from Fifth Avenue with many restaurants and shops, and one block from the beach. The pool area is gorgeous and very well maintained. The staff were always friendly, helpful, and professional. Highly recommended! "
