Was very thankful for the fan and I’m used to sleeping with one at home. Delicious food…the steak and ale pie was amazing! Thoroughly enjoyed the cooked breakfast before the long drive home. Would definitely recommend the Captain cook Inn and we would be more than happy to stay again. "

The atmosphere there was excellent and all the staff we met were very friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. "What a gem of a find and without hesitation would return. The bus stop is literally just outside around the corner where we got the bus to Scarborough for £2 esch way. We did the pub quiz on the Wednesday night for a good cause at only £1 each to enter with a free bowl of chips and a plate of sandwiches. The pub has a great atmosphere and we eat in the pub on the evening. I had home made steak pie with yorkshire puddings to start. The bedrooms are modern and very clean with tea msking facilities...

"Amazing stay..staff lovely and good breakfast.. the location was central to everywhere and views were fantastic. The pub gets very busy showing its popularity. The room was great very spacious with everything one needs. The bed was a little weird and felt uneven but didn't stop us sleeping after busy days exploring the area. If theres any criticism its having no plugs near the bed to plug phones or fan in but i would definitely stay here if visiting the area again..thank you to the staff for...
