"Very friendly and welcoming, lovely and clean. The bedroom was comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities and TV, comfy bed and en suite was very clean too. Slept extremely soundly. Breakfast was fantastic, best quality bacon, lovely sausage, couldn’t fault it! For the price it was very reasonable and only a 10-minute walk from the station. Parking permit/disc was arranged by the owner so having free parking was a bonus. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you very much."

"Last minute booking and what a great little find. Room was spacious and beds comfortable with tea and coffee facilities. Shower was pretty low pressure but got us all clean and in all we had a great stay. Location is brilliant, 10 mins walk to the beach and 15/20 mins walk into Whitby centre. Only downside is no breakfast available but plenty of places in Whitby for this. "

"The Helaina is a very high standard of bed and breakfast property. We stayed in a Premium Double room on the top floor. The room was very spacious with an excellent bathroom/shower. This room is reached by 6 flights of stairs of varying lengths (it is on the 3rd floor), so not for the infirm or those with heavy luggage. The breakfast needs to be booked, but is of a very good standard. There is no parking on the premises, but the B&B can supply a 2 day parking pass for £5. You can purchase as...

"We loved it here, room had a gorgeous view and the family room wa spacious. Bunk bed was a bit creakky (but our kids were probably too big for them really.) Fab locations for the northbay side where there is lots to do. Breakfast was AMAZING! "

"Room was really good and comfortable. Overlooked car park. Excellent bath/shower room. Didnt have evening meal as hotel had hen or stag party booked in. Also as I have limited appetite choice was restricted. Overall would certainly recommend staying here also dog friendly so daughters family could bring their dog and all atebrsakfast together"

"2 night stay in a single room. I arrived well before check in time so the room was not ready. I needed to change clothes and freshen up and the hostess really went out of her way to facilitate this. It was therefore a great check in. The room was perfect size with an ensuite shower and toilet. The shower was very good. Hot and powerful. Its so disappointing to have a bad shower, so full marks!! "I had the top floor classic double room, with own bathroom. Lovely hotel all together struggled with stairs but other than that thoroughly enjoyed it. Messages were answer straight away, wasnt sure about check out but staff were onsite to help. Walking distance from beach and 5 mins in car to food and all amenities, barely any sound, on street parking can be difficult to park close but there was enough area "

"Property is in a good area close to the town centre and the beach across from the tram down to the seafront.Room was clean and tidy with a comfortable double bed although you could hear passing traffic and the seagulls if your a light sleeper.
