Courtyard with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Private parking for 1 car; additional on-road parking. No smoking.. This charming holiday cottage, one of a pair, provides spacious, comfortable accommodation in one of North Yorkshire’s prettiest villages. From the cottage it is just a short walk to the heart of the village where there are tea rooms, inns, restaurants and a variety of shops. The village is on the edge of the North York Moors National Park and is excellently situated for visiting the many attractions in the area. York with its Minster, museums and historic centre is just over half an hour away. The North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway runs from Pickering. Stately homes, castles, museums, the East Yorkshire coastal resorts and Dalby Forest are all within easy reach. Shops ¼ mile.

Lovely cottage in lovely village. Owners helpful and friendly. Cottage was absolutely spotless and superbly equipped. Easy walk to village centre with excellent pubs and cafes. Locals friendly as always in Yorkshire. Thornton well placed for coast and moors, absolutely perfect.

We have been staying at Daisy cottage for for over 10 years and during that time it has regularly been awarded the highest marks by the 'tourist board' which to me says you can't get any better. The owners - who live close by - are delight people and nothing is too much trouble to ensure we have a wonderful stay in their cottage.

Daisy cottage is a relaxing place to stay, located in lovely quite village location. Thornton le Dale is well situated, local to Pickering and the Moors. Places such as York Whitby, Scarborough, Bridlington and Filey on the coast are all easily accesible. Plenty of variety is available whether you wish to go by car, bike or walk
