"We researched extensively about accomodation in Hanoi as it was our first visit there and the one constant that we found was how highly the guests rated Royal Palace hotel. On the strength of those recommendations we decided to try it for ourselves and it turned out to be a wise move. We spent 7 nights at Royal Palace and from there we explored Halong Bay and Sapa. The manager, Mr Jimmi got us a great deal on both of these tours and organised everything for us. He also gave us the best exchange rate on the Vietnamese Dong! The staff were great and made us feel right at home. They were very helpful with advice on where to eat and shop and anything else that we needed during our stay. We look forward to staying there again next year. "

"The staff in Solaria are a dream (especially Lily)! What a fantastic experience it was. No question or request was too little or too much for them and they gave us tips for our Ha Long Bay cruise. They helped organize our airport transfers; we had checked out a day before our cruise and they were happy to store our luggage while we were away (they even gave us some fruit and water for the journey to the marina). When we came back, we had a city tour and we were able to freshen up in their shower room and when I decided to get a facial, they honoured the guest spa discount event though we were technically no longer guests. Amazing! The bed was a little firm for our personal preference and they got a mattress topper for us. MIAs restaurant downstair was also fantastic! We will definitely be staying here again the next time we visit Hanoi - it's a small boutique hotel that packs a great punch and makes you feel like VIPs. This is hands down the top, most hospitable hotel we have ever had the pleasure to experience, and would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Hanoi. "

Jonathan, our concierge arranged a car to the hotel for us as well as late checkout and got us dinner reversions at a very popular restaurant. They provide a list of places they suggest visiting. The location was perfect right next to the lake and the French quarter. "
