We really enjoyed our stay at Fabio's apartment. It has a lovely view, the area is very quiet and about half an hour up the small mountain road. We were lucky to have the entire house to ourselves because the other two apartments were vacant at the time. The old appliances give the place a unique character that we found charming. The last day it rained a lot and the kids started shivering because temperatures dropped. Fabio went out of his way to provide us with electric heating for the night. Amazing! Really the only downside for us was that we totally missed that pets are allowed in these apartments. Which is entirely our own fault as it is advertised correctly. We were able to prevent any bigger issues with the meds we brought. But in case you are allergic to animal fur or heavily allergic to dust, this place might not be for you. Which you most likely knew before reading this anyway. For anyone else, this is a lovely and peaceful place with a kind and welcoming host.

Wir waren zu viert Meine Frau Tochter Ehemann und ich Nach kurzem anschauen dachte ich nun ja mal abwarten Aber es ging alles gut Fabio ist echt nett und gibt sich sehr Mühe es jedem recht zu machen Ausstattung ist ausreichend Der Weg zum Haus ist mit dem Auto nur sicher machbar wenn es ein Allrad ist Das herunterfahren zum Haus ist wirklich Abenteuerlich Aber wenn man da ist wird man für alle Mühen entschädigt Aussicht und Ruhe Wirklich klasse Alles in allem gebe ich 5 Sterne weil es einfach der andere Urlaub war und meiner Familie und mir viel Freude und Ruhe geschenkt hat

Mooi landelijk huis met prachtig uitzicht.

We hebben over het algemeen een prima verblijf gehad. Wij hadden het middelste huisje met aan beide zijden dus buren. Door de zeer dunne wandjes was het wel gehorig. Het huis van binnen is gezellig, landelijk en wat betreft spullen goed ingericht. Wij zaten in een zeer warme periode en dan was het op de slaapkamer heel erg warm. Horren voor de ramen was wel fijn geweest. Het uitzicht is werkelijk fantastisch. Je hebt eigenlijk niet meer nodig. De gastheer is super vriendelijk, spreekt goed Engels en is vaak aanwezig. Er is een grote tuin met ligstoelen en veel schaduw. Het zwembadje stelt niet veel voor, is meer een dompelbadje. Er is geen wifi in het huisje maar je krijgt er wel een prachtige omgeving voor terug.

Beautiful place though a bit remote

We had a lovely relaxing time here. Very clean and nicely furnished property. Fabio was friendly and helpful. The place is beautiful and quiet up in the mountains. If you arrive at night like we did it can be a bit tricky to find. A very relaxing stay.

Traumhafte Lage, uriges Ferienhaus

Die Anfahrt 20 Minuten eine enge Bergstraße hinauf ist nicht ohne, aber es lohnt sich. Der Ausblick aus dem Ferienhaus und von der Terrasse auf die gegenüberliegenden Hügel und kleinen Dörfer ist traumhaft. Die Einrichtung ist schlicht und rustikal. Das Schlafsofa könnte mal ausgetauscht werden aber insgesamt ist es wunderschön mit einem netten Gastgeber.

We got a fantastic stay in San Quirico. Superb view over the valley, very neat house, pleasant neighbours and Fabio is a fantastic ghost. Not at all touristic. Very authentic. Just pity that the paper museum of pietrabuena was closed the entire month of August.

After a warm and friendly welcome from Fabio we walked into a very nice cabin. It has all you need and it is sitting at a great location with a spectacular view during the day. You will find your cabin in a small village surrounded by silence and a very good local pizzeria.

Wat een geweldige locatie zeg! Uren gespendeerd aan het staren naar de bergen en het dal. Bij het invallen van de schemering is het uitzicht net zo magisch. De rit naar het huis vanaf Pietrabuona is een hele ervaring, maar het is via 2 manieren te bereiken Vanaf Pietrabuona links het bordje San Quirico te volgen via een slingerende klim over matig wegdek of de iets langere route rechts via Castelvecchio. De laatste 100 meter weg naar het huis is afdalende grindweg met een stuk of 5 dwarsliggende balken (ivm regenwater afvoer) en kan lage auto's het wat lastig maken maar dat hield ons niet tegen! Eventueel kan er ook boven geparkeerd worden. Fabio, de verhuurder spreekt wel wat Engels, is zeer gastvrij, meedenkend, hielp zelfs mee met uitpakken, geeft graag tips en advies en is regelmatig aanwezig op het ruime grondstuk voor het verrichten van onderhoud van o.a. de tuin die er mooi verzorgd uit ziet. Het huis is verdeeld in 3 verschillende appartementen en de muren zijn ietwat gehorig maar wij hadden Nederlandse buren waar wij goed mee konden opschieten. Dagtrips naar Firenze, Pisa, Lucca, Montecatini Terme en het strand (tip ga eens naar Lerici) zijn een uur tot anderhalf uur rijden, maar zeer goed te doen en deze trips lonen de zeer zeker de moeite, maar ook de kasteeldorpen zoals o.a. San Quirico en Castelvecchio zijn het bezoeken waard! Wij hadden het middelste appartement en het aanbod aan potten, pannen en servies was toereikend. De koelkast koelt zeer goed en op ons verzoek vooraf was het geen enkele moeite om een extra kinderbed op de kamer te zetten. Vanaf de veranda hadden wij zicht op de bergen en het dal. Dit was voor ons Italië beleven op zijn puurst en we hebben geweldig genoten!
