"We were on a roadtrip from Edinburgh to Isle of Skye and picked this place randomly as a good stopping point to make headway on the drive. One of the best decisions we ever made and by far my favorite place we stayed at during the whole trip. The whole place is beautiful, inside and outside. We stayed at one of the riverside rooms and had a balcony where we could sit and watch the river. The surrounding areas are great for a morning walk and everyone is generally quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. My favorite part was breakfast. It felt like the ideal British breakfast experience where you’re sitting in a beautiful room, well lit by the morning sun, staring out the beautiful lush green view outside as you butter your toast and pour milk on your coffee. And the food was delicious too. Overall, an experience I would recommend to anyone visiting Scotland. "

"This was a last minute booking and the hotel was very friendly and professional . The room was comfortable and spacious whilst the bar staff were very friendly. We had a bar meal which was a chef’s special - absolutely wonderful. We would certainly come back to this excellent hotel !"

"Stayed for one night but was good. Room spacious, was a family room, big double comfy bed plus folding settee bed. Only change would be addition of curtain at small window, as only had vertical blind and this let in early morning-light. Breakfast was good, friendly, helpful staff, good selection fruit, cereals and cooked food. Had the full Scottish which set me up for the rest of the day."

"Parking a few blocks away and registration a bit impatient w foreigners. Hotel was amazing! Lots of character and history. Price was fair. Location was perfect for tourists also. I would recommend to friends and family."
