"Stayed for 4 nights at this nice house that was right on the ocean beach front and had a great time. There were no wooden stairs directly from this property to the beach. We knew about this from previous reviews and it was okay for us to take the short walk to beach access stairs down the road. The owner should consider building access stairs to beach directly from beach house to vastly improve this property. The beach house had 2 nice cover patios on 2nd & 3rd floors with comfort chairs and tables. There were no candles or potable table lights available for patio. The gas grill on ground level was dirty and rusty and needed steam cleaning or maybe total replacement. We chose not to use this gas grill. The owner should consider replacing this old rusty gas grill. The morning of our checkout, the electric power was disconnected at 8AM prior to our checkout at 10AM. This was scheduled electrical work to replace the rusted out main electric panel. The electric contractor would not wait until 10AM after our checkout to start work. We had to carry all our suitcases, coolers and bags down 3 flights of stairs due to elevator not working due to loss of electric power. Contacted the host sponsor, Carolina Coast Retreats, and they offered to send people out to help carry our stuff down the 3 flights of stairs, but we were already done. They gave us a partial refund for our bad checkout experience. We were happy with this compensation and would stay at this great beach house again."

"This property is right in the middle of the sound and the beach with views of both. It's the perfect location with many options of food and things to do and see. It was very easy to contact them with any questions or concerns. They were quick with their responses and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again."

"Property was exactly as listed, clean, and with all the features we were looking for, right on the beach front. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We appreciated the gates on the beach side deck to keep our dog confined. The host was easy to communicate with. We would love to rent this property again."

"It was dirty and run down. Was a bit surprised as the pictures made it look much nicer than it was. Washer was also broken and when attempting to call in the support number its an offshore team that was useless to assist with anything. "

"We enjoyed our stay here. It’s in a great location, about 10 minutes from Surf City and 2nd row from the beach. There was a hose outside that came in handy to give my dog a bath. Although, the shower outside did not work for us, which wasn’t a big deal because the cold water helped with the heat, instead we used the hose for after the beach visits. Note that they do charge a linen fee! The front lawn wasn’t cut which lead to a few family members stepping on small cactus’s. Luckily our dog didn’t step on them. We also felt that communication with the property manager could’ve been better, as it led up to a lot of confusion, weeks prior to check-in. We called them and were able to straighten everything out. During our second day, we swept and found grey curly old hair/dog hair behind the bedroom doors. They did have boogie boards and beach chairs which came in handy. Overall, a decent vacation stay for the weekend. "
