"Beautifully decorated old building with lovely view of the sea from the dining room. Very close to the Promenade. Excellent food in the restaurant. Wonderful hairdresser and massage therapist businesses located in building. Friendly very helpful staff. Dog friendly. I had a wonderful relaxing time there and will return. "

"Liked position for getting to Penzance by train and for getting to Scilly. Room and breakfast was good but There was a band playing Sat evening until 11pm, which I should have been notified about but wasn’t. However this May have been due to problems with my phone."

"A well supported establishment by locals. Its too far from the sea front for tourist to come and find. But easily within 10 minutes for you to walk down to the promenade. Or a couple of minutes further for you to walk straight along the road into the centre of town where the shops are. Everything in the room worked, there was a full sized fridge if you needed to use it. Decent supply of tea and coffee. The room could do with a bit of a freshen up , But its a very old building, your never going to make it look like a premier inn. Locals were friendly. Ample size flat carpark with Cameras. You can use carpark for overnight camper stops for free if you use the pub. Lovely large Beer garden. Entertainment on some weekends on the stage outside. There is a large covered area, just in case. Childs play are too. Young lad behind bar with a beard was particularly helpful O and the home made steak and ale pie was excellent. A proper pie, not a tin with a lid on."

"It was a delightful two night stay with a full Cornish breakfast. It seemed to have been renovated recently. Very clean and up to date. Location was excellent - a 3 minute walk from the train station and bus depot. Belinda and Bob were wonderful hosts. Would definitely reserve again on any future trip to Penzance. Easy to get to St Ives and Mousehole/Newlyn."

"We booked 2 days before as a spur of the moment decision to take a break. You have to register your car at the hotel and pay for parking but because I live in Cornwall I didn't have to pay for parking and now my car is registered I have free parking all the time in their car park. Very friendly reception welcome. There isn't a lift to the upper floors but there was the offer of someone to carry or cases up for us. We had Josh who plays rugby for Cornwall Pirates who works there part time carry ours up. I booked the Superior double and my goodness the views didn't disappoint overlooking the ocean and lighthouse and all very clean with coffee maker and kettle in the room. Saw some amazing sunsets. Dinner was a bit pricey but very good. I wouldn't hesitate going there again and booking the Superior room again."
