"More of a retreat than a hotel. Comfortable and clean tastefuly furnished rooms. The friendliest, kindest and most helpful hosts you could wish for. Direct access to the Canterbury to Rome pilgrims' trail which provides a pleasant 90 minute walk to San Gimingano. Superb views in all directions. Be prepared for a steep, winding unmade 3k road to the hotel on arrival. It seems never ending but well worth the effort."

"Incredible villa in the Tuscan hills, beautiful views and great location to explore the area from but you will need a car. Clean, rustic room with good facilities. The service was fantastic, very helpful staff. We enjoyed using the pool and had dinner at the restaurant which was delicious and reasonably priced. We didn’t have a balcony so we had our own private shaded outdoor area where we ate most nights. We chose not to cook so didn’t inquire about a kettle or other cooking utensils, but these...

"My wife Joanne and I stayed at this magical place on the hillside of Montalcino for three nights. Fabio was an excellent host and helpful at all times with any questions and was always up for a chat. The cakes, coffee and other breakfast selections were awesome. We also enjoyed being able to play with lily as we were missing our dog back home. Thanks Fabio to you, your husband and the dogs for an unforgettable time. Grazie! Louie and Joanne"

We even purchased a bottle of wine for aperitivo and sipped sitting on the beautiful furniture outside our apartment. Breakfast in the morning was perfect! 10/10. "

"Truly remarkable experience in an 800 year old castle. The grounds are beautiful and include olive trees on the farm. Great views. Quaint experience with the owners who run the castle as a bed and breakfast. Our suite easily accommodated our family of five. We are grateful for the intimate breakfast the following morning. "Valdonica Winery is stunning! The views from our bedroom balcony were astounding, facing all the way down the vineyards, to the sea in the distance. The restaurant is run by Chef Marco, who has curated a wonderful 4 course tasting meal. Each of the dishes can be accompanied by one of Valdonica’s own wines.
