"We were a group of 8 and found the amenities in the house of a high standard. Really appreciated the little touches like shower gel in each shower, the wood already to light the fire if needed. The house was very clean and tidy and I am sure we will book it again in the future. Appreciated being in town but it didn't seem as if we were as a very quiet street."

"Beautiful very spacious very large living and bedrooms. We slept like a baby and it was a self sufficient stay with a proper kitchen, milk stocked, coffee etc. etc. The TV were a bit outdated as they weren't connected to the Internet which could have been better but overall, fantastic property and a great overnight stayer if you are heading to Christchurch to catch a plane or have arrived in the evening at Christchurch and are heading to an alpine retreat"

"This was the cutest little cottage, shared on the property with the owners house - totally separate and they were so so lovely and totally gave us our space. In the fields we saw sheep, cattle and even deer near the forest. We came inside and had a beautiful combustion log fire. The cabin was warm and snug in no time. Big comfy bed. Cooked a yummy roast (bought from Christchurch before we headed to the cottage). Owners supplied breakfast with fresh eggs and bread for toast. Yum. Absolutely loved our stay. Hint, best to bring your dinner & drinks as once you are there, you don’t want to leave and not a lot in the closest town."

"Kay was wonderful to deal with. My wife and I needed a break from the world. This was the perfect place to do that. From playing games of Battleships (Yes, they have it there!), sitting by the fire reading, or on the deck with a cheese board wrapped up in a warm blanket watching the sun set and naming the sheep to relaxing in the hot tub looking up at the stars. We also managed to jump into the plunge pool that has been created in a nearby stream. We will definitely be back. Can't say enough about this beautiful spot."
Peel Cottage - A Romantic Country Retreat

"What a find! Our family thoroughly enjoyed our winter stay here at Peel Cottage. We appreciated having the fire and extra heaters available to warm it up (it was extremely cold weather) and highly recommend our strategy of parking a heater in the kitchen. The lounge was our favourite place - blazing fireplace, comfy chairs, and huge selection of board games. The bathroom stays frigid unfortunately, but it was great to have hot water on demand for a good shower. We can imagine this would be an incredible base for summertime walks and bush adventures. Even in winter, we loved getting out to Emily Falls, driving up the Rangitata road for stunning stargazing, and road trips to nearby towns. The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful with our questions. Thanks for a great stay, hopefully we can make it back!"
