The highlight of my experience in Girona? Walking the Passeig de la Muralla at sunset, hands down.

My first afternoon in Catalunya's second biggest city, I stumbled upon these walls with an acquaintance from my hostel, just southeast of the Plaça Catalunya. The views are simply stunning. I just had to return on my final night to try and catch the sunset, despite the catch-and-go torrential downpours that afternoon.

I highly recommend this Catalan town; in less than a few hours, it became one of my new favorite cities in Spain.

"The building is beautiful, the garden area gorgeous, the kitchen is well equipped with a private fridge per room and even a personal table cloth. The room is comfortable ( with a mattress too bouncy for my liking but not a problem ) and it’s well located to visit the area. Everything was great. The only drawback: dogs are allowed and if you are scared of dogs which is my case, as some owners do not keep them on leash, I was not able to use the pool as one big one was running around freely in...

"Pros: The apartment was immaculate, very well equipped and in a quiet location but with great supermarkets near by. We loved the pool and garden and our good sized balcony, where we made the most of the lovely evenings. "The apartment is well described on the site and (for us) confortable beds. Apartment with underground parking and airco. In 20 minutes you can walk to the center, but we also like to walk, so for us no problem. Contact with Hauzify is good."

"This hotel surpassed our expectations, given that it’s a little out of town. It’s comfortable, clean, quiet and modern. Parking for up to 24hrs for £10 is available very nearby - it’s a park first and scan a card purchased from the hotel reception on the way out kinda situation. All in all, a great value stay!"
