"Hotel Damaso is in a fantastic location, within easy walking distance of the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and so much of what makes Rome special. The hotel has a cute boutique-style lobby, although that aesthetic didn’t quite carry through to our room. That said, the room was spacious and clean, though there was a strong smell of cleaning disinfectant when we arrived.
We appreciated the two complimentary drinks at the rooftop bar at check-in — a nice little perk to kick off our stay! The bed in our room was very firm, so a softer mattress would have made for a more comfortable night’s sleep. Breakfast was included in our rate, although we didn’t get a chance to try it.
One of the best parts of the location was being so close to some incredible food. Our local golf cart tour guide recommended Roscioli for pizza, and it was so good that we ate there twice! The potato, rosemary, and pork pizza is an absolute must-try. Right next door is Fatamorgana, a delicious gelato shop with unique flavors that’s also well worth a visit.
Overall, Hotel Damaso is a convenient home base for exploring Rome, with spacious rooms, a charming lobby, and some fantastic food just steps away!"
