"Contract with property was excellent. Location was spot on… close to park and stores/restaurants in Terlingua. Kitchen stocked with coffee, fridge, AC, and large shower with plenty of hot water. Would recommend for park visitors."
"Great place to stay, loved that I could take night photos of the lightning storms without much interference. Pam is an extremely personable host and we loved our stay at her "home". Thank you Pam for being so kind in showing us and sharing your home!! :)"
"My group was two troop leaders and 4 tween Girl Scouts. We were grateful for the pdf the hosts sent prior to our visit. While our car’s gps ended up being correct, the written directions were very helpful. The ranch house was exactly what we were looking for- great views, comfy place to sleep, and a kitchen that made breakfast and dinner easy. The girls loved the game room! We had a small issue with the fire alarm beeping, but the issue was easily resolved and the hosts were very responsive. For high clearance reference, we drove a 2026 Toyota Highlander down the back roads and into the National Park and had no issues. If you’re headed into the NP-give yourself 1-1 1/2 hr to get there. The drive is scenic and beautiful. Overall-great visit!"
Christmas Mountains Ranch: Classic 2br/1bth Cabin with Spacious Wrap Around Porch. Walk to Pool.
10/10 Excellent
"This place is amazing!! The house is clean and comfortable with all the amenities, but the VIEW from the wraparound porch…pictures don’t do it justice. They also have this sweet little trail behind the house, washers, and an outdoor seating area to stargaze. Hosts were friendly and responsive with lots of good information. A couple of tips; it’s remote and off the beaten path…you have to go down 3 miles of bumpy dirt road but it’s worth it (you are in the country and there are lots of dirt roads). Also, relax and enjoy the hilly, mountainous scenery, but be aware of your surroundings because you may see some cool wildlife! On our final day, we saw a bear walking down the trails behind the house. He paid us no mind and it was wonderful to experience that.If you want a trip to Big Bend, this is a perfect location. We plan on coming back!!"
"Absolutely amazing property. The surrounding scenery is incredible, the house has everything you can possibly need, and the check-in process went without a hitch. It’s very private and the night sky is worth the price alone. My husband and I enjoyed every moment, from drinking coffee on the porch, lounging on the hammock, and sitting around the chimney. I cannot recommend this property enough. 10/10."
"This was a great location for a family getaway to the Big Bend area. The house had plenty of room for our family of four, the kitchen was well stocked with what we needed to cook dinner there two of our three nights, and the remoteness was great for getting out of civilization and enjoying true quiet and darkness. If we return to the area in the future, we would definitely look to rebook this property."
"It is a great place to stay. Very clean and well stocked with the essentials Janet is a great host. She always stays in contact. Beautiful night skies and secluded. This is our fourth visit to the No Stock Ranch."
