Baymont by Wyndham Amarillo East
8/10 Good
"Room was clean and bed was comfortable"
Hampton Inn & Suites Canyon
8/10 Good
"The hotel was perfect for our stay. It was clean, well maintained, had an indoor pool and the staff was friendly. We stayed in a king suite so we basically had a small kitchen and living room area which was a plus for the 4 nights we stayed. Bed was comfortable and the black out shades were a plus! The only complaint I had was housekeeping never touched our room during that time even though a sign was posted in the bathroom rooms are cleaned every other day. I had to put our trash outside the door and the morning we were leaving ran out of TP, Kleenex and coffee. Not sure what happened there but overall still highly recommend this hotel"
Best Western Palo Duro Canyon Inn & Suites
10/10 Excellent
"Every staff member we encountered were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok. More options would be nice. I usually stay at the Holiday Inn Express. Their breakfast is to die for. HOWEVER, the staff made up for it. I mean downright SUPER nice. My sister-in-law was staying there so they wanted us there as well. We were in for my niece's wedding. Very pleasant stay. Would stay again. Thanks to EVERYONE."

"We had originally planned a trip to the Grand Canyon, but had to adjust our travel plans—and we are so glad we did! We absolutely loved this house! Our two exchange students said this was the best trip because the area looks nothing like what they are used to seeing in Europe. They loved the canyon and were so excited about all of the Route 66 things to see and do.Beverly, our host, met us at the house with fresh homemade guacamole and drinks and was full of helpful information and recommendations for our stay. I had mentioned that we were celebrating one of our exchange students' 16th birthday, and Beverly had a special glass waiting for her and even hung a Happy Birthday banner. It was such a thoughtful touch and made her feel incredibly special.Sitting outside in the mornings with our coffee, watching the sunrise over the canyon along with the deer and birds, was absolutely wonderful. We have a feeling this may become a regular trip for us with future exchange students. The girls have already told us this is definitely a trip they recommend!Thank you, Beverly, for helping make it such a memorable weekend. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!"
Paradise Cove House snuggled in the Canyon 15 minutes from town.

"Amelia is a wonderful host. During our stay we had some torrential rain. She was quick to contact me to make sure everything was all right and asked if we needed anything. We were in good shape but I appreciated her concern. The property fit our group perfectly and we very much enjoyed our three day stay. Our group will be in town for the same event next year and I will certainly be contacting Amelia!"

"Super nice host, kids had fun activities there. The cabin is absolutely gorgeous. I love the kitchen view"
The Hideout at Palo Duro Canyon - Rider’s Roost
10/10 Excellent
"If you’re looking for 5-star accommodations, this is not the place. If you’re looking for a truly unique experience, then I highly recommend checking this place out. Our two kids absolutely loved looking at the animals on the property and you couldn’t be closer to Palo Duro state park unless you stayed in the park. Sad Monkey Mercantile nearby provides some nice convenience. Very clean and unique property. For clarity, the bathroom is the only room that doesn’t have AC but with the fan my family found it very comfortable. We treated it like a glamping experience and couldn’t have been more pleased."
