"We booked a few days away before kids started to head off to school. The house was PERFECT—beautifully appointed, extraordinary views, amazing privacy—the bedrooms were lovely, with lux linens, the kitchen was well stocked and the living spaces were perfect for a family with a big dog. The game room and second full living space on the lower floor were a treat. We rented a boat and were able to tie off at the home’s dock to load up for the day on the lake. "We had the best weekend. My only concern is the road condition getting there. We got a flat tire from a rock on the hill and ended up stranded at the house. Thank goodness it was stocked with everything g we needed for a great day. "

"Stayed with another couple for two nights. Cleanliness and communication was excellent. The main floor bedroom was excellent. The other queen beds are upstairs without a bathroom which we missed when we booked. A second bath is on a bungalow in the back, requiring going outside to visit. Location was excellent."

"We had a great stay here while in Charlottesville! It is super convenient to downtown and we walked for coffee in the morning and dinners in the evening. The house is great with tons of character and the beds and bedrooms were very comfortable. The internet and other facilities were great. Would highly recommend."

"The house is beautiful and has lots of bedrooms and a nice deck with seating. Host was proactive and timely with information regarding check-in and checkout and left a nice gift for us. House is beautiful -only thing to note is that there’s not a huge living space. We were a group of friends up for the weekend and would have liked a few comfy couches/oversized chairs for hanging in. "

"The house was great for a family of five. With 3 bedrooms, everyone had space to spread out. The dining room table was great for playing games. However, the cleaning crew needs some retraining throughout every room in the house. The kitchen could use a few more amenities like a toaster and coffee pods for the Keurig, however, if you don't plan on cooking any meals at the house or you bring your own coffee/tea, you will have no problem. A plus is the very user-friendly lock."

"Super cute stay. They did offer private parking but I drive a big truck and wasn’t able to use it. Super hospitable. Had a cute welcome sign with my name on it. The internet went and they communicated asap and tried to assist with anything needed. Super nice and close to a lot of things to do. "

Charming historic cottage with modern updates - the perfect size for a small family (we stayed with our 6yo and he loved it - especially the super cool loft and backyard) or small group of friends. The owners (who live nextdoor and are super nice and accommodating) have thought of everything…and there were tons of nice little touches like eclectic record and book collections, kids games, and a great sound system. "Plenty of space, accurate listing. Be sure to read the portion around 3 of the bedrooms with breezeway entry if you have small kids. Great views and easy communication! When we stayed there was construction on both sides (the only downfall of trip)- otherwise, fantastic spot, great fishing and would return!"

"The house was very cute & super clean. Loved having the fenced yard for my doggies. Wifi was not great & the front screen door sticks a little, so dogs can push through easily. I think it would be a great idea to have a guest signature book. I was going to get one & also leave pictures of my dogs....the great Dane pictures were too cute"

"This is our second time staying at this property, and as before, we very much enjoyed ourselves. The house is beautiful, with wonderful space and carefully thought out little details. You will be quite comfortable and happy here. And the grounds, and the views, are spectacular. We truly enjoyed sitting on the porch for a couple hours, and ditto for starting a fire in the fire pit and roasting marshmallows one evening. This is a special place. "
