"My elderly mother and I had a good stay at the apartment while visiting my child at Oxford U recently. The apartment is within easy walking distance of shops in Summertown, and a bus route to the centre of Oxford. The apartment is comfortable and well-equipped with all one needs. There is no fan in the bathroom, which was a big dark and musty, but otherwise tip-top. Walls in the building are thin, but the neighbours were all quiet so that was no problem. "The Malmaison is in an old prison, close to the train station and close to areas of interest in Oxford. The staff was excellent and very helpful. Our room was comfortable, but the lack of a refrigerator was disappointing. (The staff was happy to deliver a bucket of ice upon request.) We enjoyed breakfast at their restaurant. There were also excellent lunch and dinner options within an easy walk. We enjoyed our stay and recommend it to others."

We started off on the top floor, but on a hot day in May it reached 25.5C and didn't cool back down which made it really hard to sleep. "Great check-in. Clear instructions. Friendly staff. Room was spacious and clean. The only issue was that the sink was blocked. Upon reporting, it was sorted out very quickly. I would love to have had the bar stay open lknger than the 11 PM"
