"Stunning and unusual little hotel in lovely village square setting. Room was amazing, a real experience. Voucher for breakfast in downstairs cafe an added bonus. Free parking close by. Self check in worked a treat, staff on hand via whatsapp if required. Loved it! "

"Hotel is located 2 to 3 miles from Norwich city centre. Plenty of car parking available. Buses 28, 29 and 29X all leave near Asda to the city centre. Buses are frequent. Staff at reception and in the bar were all very pleasant. Room was very clean, as was the ensuite. It was very quiet at night, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast had lots of hot and cold food options. Plenty of hot and cold beverages available too. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying at Mercure Norwich."

"For some reason, we were upgraded from a standard double to a suite with a four poster bed which was a lovely surprise. The rooms are not serviced if your stay is 3 nights or less but you can place rubbish, used towels and toiletries outside your door and they will be removed and replaced. There was a large choice at breakfast including pastries, toast, cereal and cooked items all served buffet style so something for everyone. We went out each day and evening so did not have lunch or evening meal at the hotel. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful and it was lovely to see the rabbits outside the window each morning and running around the grounds throughout the day. We've stayed here before and are planning to come back and bring the dog next time."

"Stayed here for 4 nights. The property was clean and comfortable to stay in. All equipments you need are in place and provided. We liked the fact that the place is quiet and very private. Lots of walk routes to the beach, to the cliff, to the lighthouse. We indeed had a lovely time staying here. "

"We had a comfortable stay. Room was nice, especially the soft furnishings. A few minor niggles. Some of the public areas were a bit shabby (it’s an old building) and there was apparently a problem with the drains at the bar toilets. Service was good - very friendly and attentive. Food was decent and good value (especially curry night). Breakfast a bonus with a choice on offer. Vegan and vegetarian no problem at all. We had been before years ago and would stay again."

"The hotel was immaculate and had a very high level of interior design throughout. Rooms were very modern/ stylish. Bathrooms extremely clean. Hotel food was exceptional. Staff were very friendly. Right on the riverside with extensive outside seating areas. We stayed three nights. Excellent."
