"I don't recommend staying here. I rented it because it was reasonably priced (comparatively) and available the week of the Taylor Swift concert, it had a lot of beds, and the photos looked ok. But there are a number of drawbacks that aren't explained: - It's not a good neighborhood. We felt uncomfortable walking until we got a few blocks away. And there was trash everywhere on the local streets. - The beds are uncomfortable, and one of the king beds had a loud plastic mattress cover for some...

"Booked this stay with the promise of parking but when we arrived there was no where to stop or park in the street or neigbouring streets. I contacted the owner and was told to park in council parking 17 mins away. A very hostile neigbourhood so had to go and find another last minute stay in next town. No help from Stayz either."

"It is not a bad place. The place need to be cleaned properly when someone leaves. A potato and a bottle of milk was left in the fridge. I threw the potato away as it was smelling but did not tough the milk. I think a shower curtain may help to prevent the bathroom tiles getting wet. Thankshe milk. "

"We really enjoyed our short stay at the Carthouse. It's a lovely property in Axbridge, with Cheddar Gorge within easy reach. Communication with Val was excellent and also waited on the side of the road to show us the entrance to the side road. The Carthouse was spotlessly clean and Val had left several thoughtful items to get us started including bread, milk, wine and cider! Thank you Val, it was much appreciated. We'd have no hesitation in recommending this lovely property."

"Terrible property - due to stay here for 5 nights but posed such a health risk that we left immediately and checked in elsewhere at great expense. Sacks of rubbish left, outdoor dining area unusable, dangerous shower, bedroom fans covered in thick dust and mould. Is not as described - is a mid terraced property, not semi-detached as the pictures suggest. Neighbours garden full of trade waste and arguing with each other so would have been unpleasant to sit outside. Undesirable area. Do not stay...
