"Currently the place is being extended and under lots of scaffolding. Expect to see workmen and deliveries. I thought check-in was slow but the lifts beat that by running in a very leisurely manner. You could use the stairs if they were easy to navigate. In case of a fire, I suggest smashing a window and jumping! The room itself was clean and relatively spacious for a London hotel. But the TV didn't receive any channels and the staff couldn't fix it. I heard complaints about the air conditioning...
