The Nest - next to bakery and downtown

"The hosts are amazing. Excellent communication and check in process was a breeze. The "Nest" is comfortable, extremely clean, decorated cute, and has extra touches. Nightlights in the bathrooms and the outdoor light comes on automatically as we approached the outside door were greatly appreciated. The bakery next door is an extra bonus."

"The cottage was wonderful, very clean, well furnished , and we appreciated it being pet friendly. The hosts were wonderful. One evening a faulty fire detector went on and off. We called Missie and she and her husband were there in 25 minutes with a ladder and took care of it. We could not have asked for more"

"We had an amazing stay at the cabin! It literally had something for everyone. Our stay was in the fall so the pool was closed but still plenty of outdoor activities for the kids. The home is beautiful, comfortable and the host was amazingly response. Checking in and out was a breeze. Would definitely recommend"

"Fantastic experience with our stay here! Absolutely, awesome amenities, snacks, drinks, etc., provided by the hostess. The place was immaculately clean, well organized, and very comfortable. The deck was awesome. We enjoyed walking around the lake. This was a fantastic stay which I hope to do again sometime."

"First of all this is an older building and it is in need of repair. And it offers a discounted price to compensate for this. Don't let the outward appearance discourage you. I stayed 5 nights. The location is just out of town and is a safe location to stay in. The room I had was very clean. The bedding, furniture, towels were in very good condition. They looked new. The AC worked very well, and the refrigerator was good sized and cold. You could set the thermostat where you wanted it. The bathroom was small, but it had a hot shower and a tub. Not a turned down water heater to save money like hotels costing 5 times their price! It had a heat lamp in the ceiling, plus a separate exhaust fan. I never heard any of the other guests while in my room , and there was no partying of any kind going on that I noticed. The people at the desk and the maids were fantastic, friendly, and helpful, and made me feel like they appreciated me using their hotel. They were "kind" people if you care about that. I will be staying in this hotel for all my visits in the future to Oskaloosa, IA. It's about a 3 minute ride to be right in the city where the restaurants and shops are. Oskaloosa is a great mid-sized midwestern town with lots of goods and services. The people who were staying in the hotel were driving mostly new cars. They were dressed nicely and were a friendly bunch. There is also a security person on site. Jeff Anderson"
