Imakusa-so, Osaka, Tempozan - Shohaku -

This area, Tempozan, is located at the mouth of the Anji River. It was formed in 1831 and 1832 by large-scale dredging of the Anji River, with the dredged sediment piled up to create a hill. At 4.53 meters high, it is said to be the lowest mountain in Japan.

Tempozan is a scenic spot blessed with panoramic views of the mountains and the sea in all directions. Pine and cherry trees were planted there, and facilities such as the Kakechaya teahouse and the Miharashido observation deck were built, making it a bustling place of relaxation for the common people.

Hoping to make the time you spend here with family and friends truly wonderful, we designed this inn based on the concept of the pine trees of Tempozan. As a symbol of the inn, a pine bonsai reminiscent of Tempozan in those days greets guests as they enter the lobby.

In Japan, there has long been a tradition of revering the pine tree as an auspicious symbol. Pines, which retain their lush green foliage even in winter, are considered symbols of eternal youth and longevity, and are regarded as auspicious trees.
