"We stayed in room #530 Very clean, only complaint, needed better pillows and a harder mattress. A/C noisy, so made sure to turn it up at night so it didn't come on. Loved the breakfast, great variety. Staff very friendly. Perfect hotel if you want to walk to attractions. If you can walk 20,000 steps per day, this location is good. Underground parking at the hotel at $25 plus hst per night. 10 to 20 minutes walking to Byward Market, National Gallery, Notre Dame, Rideau Mall & Parliament Buildings.
Very close to homeless shelter, so a lot of homeless people around. Just avoid Murray St and you'll be fine. Lot of homeless around the mall and numerous people begging in the market. We had no issues with any of them.
We would stay here again a very well maintained property."
