"First, because this place is located up in the mountains, it’s about 10 degrees cooler than LA. This makes it pleasantly cool and nice in the summer, and a great place to enjoy the snow in the winter. On the flip side, it can feel a bit chilly for swimming during the summer. To start with a few minor downsides I noticed: Noise between floors: You can hear the sound of people walking upstairs. Balcony mosquitoes: I’m not sure if the southwest-facing balconies are fine because of the sunlight, but the north-facing side I stayed on had so many mosquitoes that I couldn't open the balcony door or go outside. Worn wallpaper: The wallpaper was a bit old, with two spots where the seams were peeling off. Closet location: The closet is inside the bathroom, so taking a shower could cause humidity to affect your clothes. As for the pros: Private beach: Although it’s not huge, having a private beach offers a unique and enjoyable experience. Proximity to the village: It’s super convenient since the village is just a 3-minute walk away. There are several restaurants with incredible views, Bank of America, Stater Bros. Markets, CVS, and more. Evening S'mores: In the evening, you can make s'mores by the pool or the private beach area. (Be sure to bring s'mores ingredients in advance or buy them at the Stater Bros. "We two couples absolutely loved this gorgeous cabin. It exceeded my expectations. Actually, it was immaculate. The view was stunning and much more inclusive than than I imagined we were given a passkey that we could walk along the edge of the lake trail for members only belong to the lake residence, which was a nice bonus we didn’t wanna leave actually it was hard to leave, but it was extremely spacious on three levels and peaceful quiet and the host and family were just excellent. Anything we needed. They helped us through navigating a few minor things that we were older and needed help with absolutely recommend this to anyone especially a family. You have a whole lower level. Three bathrooms is quite nice plenty of room for eight we were four."

"We enjoyed our stay. Our family was from the ages of 75 to 3 and everything was great. The neighborhood was very quiet and the view off of the back deck was nice.Host was very helpful and always available right away. Would stay here again."

"This was the perfect mother-and-daughter getaway. The cottage is absolutely charming—spotlessly clean, comfortable, and with a kitchen that has everything you need. I slept better than I have in years. It has such a peaceful, cozy feel that staying here really feels like a retreat. We stayed during the last week of July, and the temperature was perfect despite it being a heatwave throughout Southern CA. The view from the balcony is stunning, and the cottage feels wonderfully secluded and private while still being close to the quaint village, shops, restaurants, and cafés.The owner responded quickly and was incredibly kind. Many thanks! The listing photos are accurate and do the cottage far more justice than ours, but I’ve included a few of our own as well.We loved it so much that we have rebooked. Our only regret is that we were unable to stay for a full week!"

"We loved the property, it was very clean and pleasant. We were very comfortable on one floor and our daughter and family enjoyed the other floor. The neighborhood was extremely quiet at all hours and we were close to the lake and a quick drive to the Village. We would gladly stay here again!"

"Overall the place was great. The hosts were very nice and communicated really well. The access to the small beach was a big bonus. The only big note I had is that the kitchen is a bit of a mess as far as organization. I never could find a cutting board and the cabinets are stuffed with things. Made it a little hard to cook. But overall really nice spot."

"Nice older house and located in a beautiful neighborhood. it was renovated into a three story home. Older guests/people may have a hard time going down to the lower level through the spiral stairs. The house interior was clean when we arrived but the outside was not. We had to sweep the terrace and the front yard and dust the outdoor furniture. Maybe the cleaning crew forgot to clean the exterior. The mattresses were too soft. Not good for older people. Not enough toilet paper for two days for 6 people. Not enough paper towels either. The price was adequate for what it offered."
