"Our stay at Jim and Kim’s property was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by peaceful beauty—breathtaking views, gentle breezes, and the soothing sounds of nature, from roosters to cows in the distance. It felt like pure serenity.Jim and Kim were phenomenal hosts—kind, welcoming, and genuinely thoughtful. One moment that especially touched us was when we asked if we could pick a banana from the trees for our daughter, who absolutely loves bananas. Not only did they say yes, but the next day, after returning from an excursion, we found that they had lovingly cut and gifted us an entire bunch. It made our day, and we were able to share the delicious fruit with our visiting family—who couldn’t stop raving about how amazing they tasted!The property itself is a little haven. My daughter and I adored spotting geckos and gently “befriending” them with fallen papayas. Their sweet dog was a joy to see around the property, and every sunrise, sunset, and star-filled night felt magical.Even our family from Honoka‘a and Waimea, who came to visit us during our stay, were blown away by the peaceful views and said they wished they could stay with us just to experience that same sense of calm.This place is more than a vacation rental—it’s a peaceful retreat filled with heart, beauty, and the warmth of two genuinely kind hosts. We are beyond grateful for the experience and would return in a heartbeat."

"We love this place! The location is perfect and the home is both beautiful, comfortable and completely relaxing. The kitchen is first class. Best of all for us is the continuous ocean breeze that keeps the house forever comfortable. If it is warm when you arrive, just open the many windows and sliding glass doors (all screened). You will enjoy not only the tropical breeze but the ethereal surf sounds from the ocean below.The owners, who lived in the home themselves and intend to return for their retirement, live remotely but treat guests with personal attention (this is not run by some commercial vacation resort business). The home is decorated with museum-quality art. It is located on a seemingly ordinary residential street but the home is special.Apparently some have asked about air conditioning but we never thought this would be desirable. We have been there twice, most recently for two weeks in August 2025, supposedly the hottest month. The sea breeze is constant and we never even used the ceiling fans that are in most rooms. The house stays very comfortable with the windows and doors open (all have screens).We have booked another visit a few months out, further proof that we love to stay here."

"Beautiful view of Waipio Valley, very comfortable house. Kitchen has every appliance you can wish for. The caretakers are really caring and made our stay really pleasant and they are very responsive.Mahalo for making our magic stay even more blissful."

"This was just the right size for the two of us. Marie and Greg were super friendly and kindly let us have access to all their amenities including the outlook (great for watching the sunrise) and the gate that gives you easy access to Honoli’i Beach. Every activity we did was about 15 minutes away, aside from visiting the volcano which is about an hour drive. Hoping we can visit again soon!"
