GOOD TO KNOW - This is an adults-focused couples and solo retreat. For safety, our grounds include an unfenced deck and a pond, so the cottage is not suitable for children or infants. - This is one of three cottages on the property. The yard, deck, and outdoor lounge are shared with other guests; your cottage, patio, and bathroom are private. - We sit at about 500 ft elevation on the windward coast. Temperatures stay around 67 to 81°F with constant trade winds, so no air conditioning is needed. - Being on the windward side, we stay clear of vog even during volcanic activity, and Lava Zone 8 keeps us safe from eruptions. You get some of the cleanest air anywhere. - Nature is close. You may spot harmless geckos, wild chickens, or hear coqui frogs at night. Hawaii has no snakes and no venomous wildlife. - We recommend drinking bottled water during your stay. - A local guidebook with waterfalls, black-sand beaches, scenic drives, and food spots is provided.
As a registered Hawaii vacation rental, we are required to keep basic guest records, including names and valid government-issued IDs for all adult guests. This is like a standard hotel check-in and keeps us compliant with local law, taxes, and emergency procedures.
Mahalo for helping us keep your stay safe, legal, and stress-free.

We were very comfortable during our stay. Its so peaceful around here, and the cottage is very cute and well-equipt. We didnt feel like we were missing anything.
On balcony you have an amazing view of the ocean during the day, and if the sky is clear at night, a killer view of the stars!
We had a wonderful stay in our little rustic cabin among the tree frogs and geikos. We made it a point to wake up for sunrises and watch the stars at night, both from the deck off from our cottage. We highly recommend sitting in the outdoor couch area and enjoying a wonderfully cooked meal from the host as well. Location was great and close to the general store. Sidra and Chris were wonderful hosts.
Our stay at the small rustic farmhouse was peaceful and very pleasant. There is an ocean view from the back deck and even colored clouds and rainbows. We met some goats that lived next door and some neighbors walking their horses up the road. The songs of the birds, frogs and roosters was a delight during the evening and daytime. We bought some fresh eggs from the hosts that was so convenient and yummy. The bed is so comfy, and the location is a great central point to start from for adventuring nearby sites in either direction. It is a very basic living arrangement, no frills, but very clean and serene and a great place to experience.
Wonderful . First time using vrbo. First time In Hawaii. Exactly as described. Only problem we had was the lack of water one day, but this was quickly resolved the next day.
Relaxing stay in "tiny house" on the farm. My wife and I loved the rustic setting and being able to roam the farm and say good morning to Mama Cow and Baby Moo, along with the Chicken Kingdom. This unit has its own bathroom with shower, along with a kitchenette with everything we needed. Comfy bed after nighttime trip to watch Pele play in Kilauea. Papa'aloa General Store just down the hill for live music, dinner, plate lunch, and breakfast take away. We loved the Chill Shack with Sidra's artwork. Lots of positive energy and peaceful vibes!
Although I told them (text) what time I would be arriving - no one was there 2 meet me! ... the listing nor the hosts told me about the hill from the parking area to the rooms, no signs to non-existant office, dead zone 4 tel.!!! so I sat in my car 'til friends arrived to help me down THE Hill
Reality did not match soft- focus photos. Very basic cabin, scant supplies (no kitchen towels or cooking pot); kitchen awkward and little counter space; poorly repaired back door; low/no water pressure and sporadic hot water; ill fitting bedding; soiled bath mat; no bath towel racks; intermittent wifi; dry rot on porch, old paint; unresponsive hosts.
Our overall experience was very poor. The description of the property was misleading. The pictures definitely misleading. Such as saying it is beach front property, no about a mile away is the ocean so ocean view more accurate. I wanted beach front property we would not have stayed there because that was what we were looking for. Also saying you can walk to a waterfall, not exactly the truth we asked the locals and they told us where it is and very difficult to navigate and beware of fire ants. The property list that there is a washer and dryer nope you have to go to another place on the property where the washer and dryer is and pay $15.00. Money is not the problem just misleading. There is a cleaning fee added to the final price which is not a problem until we get check out instructions that we have to make sure all dishes are washed and coffee pot cleaned if used. Why have a cleaning fee if we have to clean? The property is a cabin that needs repairs. Absolutely NOT recommend.
The cottage is super cute and has a great view of the ocean! Only issues we had was getting hot water and no water pressure. They mention laundry and farm fresh eggs on the listing but they do charge for both, not a big deal though.
