"Small room with a great view over the water between Onomichi and the neighboring island. Easy walk from the train station. This is a new building with one of those room switches that turns off all power when you take your room key out of the slot. This power shutoff includes all climate control and the fridge. Fridge is an odd wall unit that will literally hold 3 bottles of beer, it is about 3 inches deep. Everything was clean and comfortable, good for the day we spent in Onomichi before starting bike ride over the islands the next day. 1 block walk from the covered market straet for food, etc. With 2 suitcases, one person has to be on a bed for the other person to move around. We had to open and close suitcases many times to function."

"Lovely renovated traditional inn with beautiful views and right by the temple. Good snacks at the cafe. Kind staff. Walls are thin but everyone was quiet during our stay. Futons may be uncomfortable if you’re not used to them."

"Fabulous hotel. Think it had only just re-opened post a change of ownership and total refurbishment so was spotless. Rooms were very large for Japan with amazing views across the harbour to the sea. Lots of very helpful staff. Lovely rooftop bar (they gave us a voucher for a free drink when we checked in!) and breakfast was very tasty although traditional Japanese i.e. rice, miso, vegetables and rice. Walkable down to the town/harbour but it's a quite a big hill / lots of steps coming back! "
