"Your room was wonderful and a great design for solo travellers. Dyson hair dryer was very unexpected. One thing I would say is once you sit something down for the breakfast buffet, and another group of two comes in, asking me to move from my space when I’m already picking food requires me to be nice."

"This is a spotlessly clean unit and is great as a starting point for the shimanami kaido. It's a very short walk to the pier and the train station. Note that you need to communicate with the property manager via the Expedia app and upload your passport etc the day you check in so make sure you have mobile data and your passport copies are under ~4MB. The property manager is ridiculously quick to respond to messages if you have questions. "

"Great hotel to start or end your Shimanami Kaido biking trip. It's close to everything including a covered shopping street. "

"Lovely small on the Shimanami Kaido bicycle route. Spacious room with Japanese style beds on raised platform and tatami mat sitting area with table and cushions. In-room amenities included electric kettle with tea and coffee supplies, Bose Bluetooth speaker, safe, complimentary water, juice, and beer. Staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. There are onsite baths, but we didn’t use them. The hotel is located on a charming street, just a few steps from the water and right near the ferry port. There were several restaurants but midweek many were closed. We did enjoy dinner at a place specializing in eel tempura which was very good, and there is a cafe a few steps away that makes excellent coffee. "

"Lovely renovated traditional inn with beautiful views and right by the temple. Good snacks at the cafe. Kind staff. Walls are thin but everyone was quiet during our stay. Futons may be uncomfortable if you’re not used to them."

"Fabulous hotel. Think it had only just re-opened post a change of ownership and total refurbishment so was spotless. Rooms were very large for Japan with amazing views across the harbour to the sea. Lots of very helpful staff. Lovely rooftop bar (they gave us a voucher for a free drink when we checked in!) and breakfast was very tasty although traditional Japanese i.e. rice, miso, vegetables and rice. Walkable down to the town/harbour but it's a quite a big hill / lots of steps coming back! "
