"Ann and Colin were perfect hosts. So warm and friendly and even left a welcome basket full of thoughtful treats. Flat is so much better than the pictures portray. Spacious and equipped with everything you need for a stay in the area. Highly recommend. Very convenient for all the new forest walks. The grounds are delightful and the garden is stunning. Nice little area to sit and enjoy the sun. Although the flat is joined to the flat we felt we had privacy. Thanks again for a lovely stay....

"The property manager was not reasonable in our request for a compensation settlement being that the flat had no heating one evening. She said that I should have called her to which I responded that I hadn’t that evening due to the lateness and opted to report it in the morning. She was not accommodating but curt. I further want all to know that even though the place is supposed to be smoke free it really isn’t as a person can smoke in an outdoor door space outside the bedroom. All smoke odors...

"Lovely apartment, very spacious, clean and everything you need. Plenty of quality towels and the kitchen has everything. Parking was excellent. A great pub near by and excellent Italian restaurants also. The town is small but has supermarkets nearby in a short walking distance"

"My partner and I spent a few days at Carol's beautiful home. She has created such a wonderful place to stay. We particularly loved the effort Carol has put into helping guests get out and explore the stunning local area with even small laminated cards with walking suggestions! "We found Riverside Lodge delightful, inside and out. Very peaceful and a pretty setting, with constant birdsong, visiting ducks, scampering squirrels, wandering deer and an evening flyby from a kingfisher. We went out less than we normally would because it was a treat to be lazy there, especially as we’d splashed out on the hot tub. "The initial booking was a torturous affair on “Vrbo. The most objectional thing is I was required to give my passport details to “Superhog”, (required by the owners). I am very uncomfortable about that as for all I know, it has been cloned and is now in circulation somewhere in the world. At first, we were unable to locate the correct key safe as video sent to us demonstrated the key being retrieved from a different model. We finally retrieved the keys. As it was raining, we were rather wet....

"The day we arrived we first needed to clean everything. Everything in the kitchen was dirty. We needed to vacuem clean the property There are only 3 beds. The 4th and 5th person were expected to sleep in the kitchen on the sofa bed. Way too small for two persons! I would not recommend renting it."

"This one bedroom flat is compact with some very nice designer touches! It is close enough to the old towne area of Southampton to walk to see the old city wall and gates. There are also 2 large malls within walking distance. It is perfect for a couple or a single for a short stay. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful."
