The River Inn

"The location was perfect. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were lucky enough to find on street parking and didn't have to move our car until Monday which saved on parking costs. The room was spacious and perfect for us and our 70lb goldendoodle. There were plenty of places for a short walk for the dog throughout the day also which was convenient. The closest metro stop was only 2 blocks away which was very convenient."

"Unfortunately, despite paying for and getting an “upgraded” room with river views, the desk looked damaged (old water damage), and the toilet roll holder was broken after the cleaning crew did their regular cleaning. The staff was wonderful, the food and service amazing, and in general the stay was fantastic, but was disappointed to see unappealing details such as the aforementioned ones."

"Absolutely amazing staff! We got drenched coming from the Lincoln Memorial. We walked in and they offered us towels. Since we checked out earlier that morning, they gave us a room to go and change into warm clothes."

"This hotel is very clean and convenient for walking to the shops and attractions on or near the Wharf. The only opportunity is parking. Valet service was full in the early afternoon, and onsite parking is in a city garage below the hotel which was full at 4:30pm and the closest parking parking was 2 to 3 blocks away. Being knowledgeable of that and understanding how to get to the front of the hotel for baggage drop-off (this is down an alley which is not "pull-through", you must turn around and exit the same manner), you can plan accordingly and have a great time on the wharf."
