Great location, right next to entrance to walled city. The rooms are no fuss and good price point. Our room smelled like the toilet had backed up and the AC did not work well.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Josefa d’Óbidos! The location is perfect—right near the heart of the charming old town, making it easy to explore the beautiful streets of Óbidos. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and full of character, with lovely traditional touches. Breakfast was also very good, with a variety of options. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Óbidos!

Amazing property in an amazing location. Beautiful room and bathroom. Appears to be newly renovated, all fresh and new. Outstanding breakfast very reasonably priced. The only negative is parking on premises is inadequate, but available nearby. Wonderful location at entrance of the walled city.

A castle retreat

Right near the walls of the old fortified city, we had immediate access to all the sights and enjoyed nearby dining and coffee shops. We were there for the Good Friday and Saturday events before Easter and thoroughly enjoyed the spirit of the city.

Couple staying for 3 nights

We had an amazing stay! Extremely satisfied with the hotelroom, the best room both of us have ever stayed in. The receptionists were really welcoming and helpful and gave us great tips on where to eat in Obidos. Breakfast was good and varied. The beds were nice and comfy and the room was really clean and smelled great. Bathroom with a bathtub which was a good experience.

Obvious choice when visiting Obidos

This is a great hotel for visiting Óbidos. Breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly. The have a buffet for lunch which was very good. Tip - the hotel signage isn’t obvious so look for the Antonius Restaurant this is a more eye catching sign for the hotel. There is parking in front of the hotel. I definitely recommend this hotel.

I like that it was close to the castle and the wall. The atmosphere of the place was wonderful. There were lots of options for breakfast. The food tasted great. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to help you. My room had a balcony which had a view of the Castle wall which is what I wanted. I could look out the balcony and take pictures. Great location.

Can't beat the location for a tour of Opidos

Our 2 night stay was very nice. We had one problem with the sink in the bathroom that was promptly fixed. The location next to the entrance to the Old Town was great: a 2 minute walk. The staff were great too. Unexpectedly, we were there for the big Chocolate Festival and parking was almost non-existent. The woman at the check in desk made sure that we were able to park in her parking space when she went off duty. We were given a great recommendation for a place to eat for a small dinner meal that was a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The breakfast onsite as wonderful and well worth the cost.

Well located friendly hotel outside citadel but close to ramparts. Welcome from Manager was a real highlight after long journey. Breakfast good although again I am puzzled about the total absence of milk (for tea) in room and lack of tea spoons at breakfast.

What a great place to stay when visiting Obidos! Althought staying in the cobblestone area of the Old City would be nice, it was much easier to park right at the hotel and wheel our bags into our room!
