Nice little city but like most cities in Portugal, bring your walking shoes
It's a beautiful medieval city with a Lot of small shops and a National beverage called Ginja that is made from a kind of cherries. There are good restaurants to eat and churches, museums, shops and libraries to visit . The view is charming .
Recommend going in late afternoon to avoid crowds of tourists.
Must see if you have small kids.
The walk around castle gave opportunity to make many photos with great vistas and narrow medieval streets with white houses and small green gardens. During the day locals sell a lot of souvenirs and local cherry vine in chocolate caps.
