"Great right from the get -go. Receptionists was very efficient and professional. She welcomed us back and was quite kind. Staff through the hotel were polite and professional. The hotel was busy ( wedding, conferences) but staff were cool, calm& collected. Sadly one of the lifts was “ out of order” and the breakfast was the usual hotel standard."

"Good location with enough to do around for a short staycation. Staff were really helpful. Maybe because of the season, there were more flies and cobwebs than I would have expected in the room, but overall I felt comfortable in it given the heat spike. The restaurant is on the pricey side but with novel options and attentive staff. There could be more dedicated cycle parking space."

"The hotel feels like a bit of history, and the room was superb. I had the steak pie for dinner and it was the best I've had. My wife had the steak and said it was superb. The wine was delicious as was the cocktail to finish it all off. The staff were friendly and helpful and we loved the room service. When we needed anything, the staff were always on hand to help. The bar area has inspired us on future designs for our front room! Cracking hotel"
