"We stayed 2 nights in an estate room just me and the hubby, then our adult kids and my parents joined us Friday to Monday for my 50th birthday and we stayed in a four bedroom valley view lodge with a hot tub. We were very lucky as had sun the whole time we were there. Room was lovely, lodge was amazing. Lodge was fabulous inside and out and the views were amazing. Stunning views everywhere, the whole place is so well kept and beautiful. Activities for those who want them, we tried archery. Inside pool was large and nice but parts of it could do with a little tlc, however I wouldn’t mark it down for that because everything else was so good. Outside pool wasn't open yet. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Holly on reception was brilliant and super helpful and Shelby and James that did the archery with us were really lovely. Will definitely stay again. "

"The staff on reception/bar & food ordering could not have been more helpful. They logged my car in and took the payment to save me doing it. And especially appreciated after a long drive: I was able to choose a couple of things from the menu and a much earned drink and take to my room. And my room was extremely nice - bed and bedding very comfortable, the right size, bathroom (and shower!) very good and I was able to work at the mini desk the following morning. A huge tick from me."

"Quaint, atmospheric, very good food. Only one small quibble, i and other diners would like a pot of tea at breakfast rather than a cup with teabag. That apart, very good"

"Lovely little hotel for a great price. Service excellent, all staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms good, a little tired in places but generally clean. Mira shower was excellent, so often showers in hotels are let downs, not this one!! Location great, easy walking distance to the Quay Side, and Cathedral. Town centre uphill but regular buses with bus stop outside the hotel. Ample free car parking an absolute bonus. "
